Team King Power Duty Free Fought a Tough Battle to Triumph over
Four Season’s Tented Camp at the 10^th King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament

Superior skills and strategy delivered a solid win for King Power on the first day of play at the King’s Cup Elephant Polo tournament

First Chukker
Tom Claytor opened up the first chukker by winning the ball on throw-in, then braced himself for attack and traded a beautiful down the line pass resulting in the first goal of the tournament which was scored by Gustavo Yanez, Captain of the Thai National Horse Polo Team.

Sangjay Choegyal of Four Season’s struck back, trading shots with the competition to pass the ball to team member Maya Buehler who outfoxed Khun Nat  Patummalee, Thailand’s best horse polo player, to take the score to 4:5 in favour of Four Seasons at the end of the first chukker.

Second Chukker
A deliberate strategy by King Power in the second chukker saw Tom Claytor cleverly repositioned in an offensive role, a tactic that was set to define the second half of the game.

The King Power team went on to rattle Four Season’s with mesmerising skill shown by Tom Claytor and precise teamwork to score two nicely placed goals bringing the team to a solid 6:5 lead.

Having drawn blood in the first chukker, Four Seasons Sangjay Choegyal pulled clear of the competition and found space to easily put away a beautifully timed and stunning goal all the way from the mid-field, highlighting his solid polo skills. This took the teams level once again and it looked like Four Seasons were back in the match, however, in the end the superior fire power and skills of the powerful King Power Duty Free team were too much for the competition.    

A great match which saw King Power domineering over a very resilient Four Seasons Tented Camp!
