Timeless Classics From Kalaan Brothers Take Audemars Piguet to a New Level
in 2010 King’s Cup Elephant Tournament

The unbeatable power of brothers Uday and Angaad Kalaan shone through on the field today as the mighty Audemars Piguet team came from behind to win by a resounding four points over team SOCO in what could be described as the comeback game of the tournament.

In the first half it looked as though last years finalists, SOCO were firmly on track for another strong win with Jason Friedman stealthily maneuvering the ball squaring through the centre of the goal posts in the first thirty seconds of the game.

Not to be discouraged team Audemars Piguet tussled for control of the ball with the ‘Dark Horse of Delhi’, Angad Kalaan planting the ball through the legs of his opponent’s elephant to take the game to 4:6.

Setting the overall pace of the first half it was a tug of war between the two teams as the each scored simultaneous match points for their respected teams ending the first half with SOCO looking comfortable for a win with a score of 5:7.

As the second chukker of the game started it became obvious to the crowd that the overall experience of the Kalaan brothers, coupled with the undeniable power and expertise of fellow team mate Peter Prentice were no match for team SOCO as they miraculously scored the next six shots to bring the game to an undeniable close with a final score of 11:7. One spectator was overheard summing up the stunning victory as a ‘timeless classic’ – very fitting for the teams name sake!
