Day three of the competition sees last year’s defending champions Audemars Piguet pitted against Mercedes Benz in an all-action match that could have gone either way just minutes into the second half!
A robust first half from the Audemars Piguet team, Captained by Peter Prentice along with the dynamic Kalaan brothers, Uday and Angaad, quickly reduced the handicap deficit to end up with a first half result of 6:6 thanks to a superb hat trick of three consecutive goals by the former captain of India’s horse polo world cup team – Uday Kalaan.

Cup Elephant Polo after Stunning Victory over Mercedes Benz
The action continues at the King’s Cup Elephant Polo tournament which is hosted by Audemars Piguet, TAT and Anantara Hotels in the seaside town of Hua Hin. A fiercely fought match saw New York Designer Sarah Story steal the game from the grasp of the talented and highly experienced Mercedes Benz team. The first chukker saw polo veterans, the Edwards brothers Kristjan and Tim, along with fellow team mate Rickard Hogberg, stunned in the first few minutes of play by Sarah Story Design player Jennifer Coffindaffer who scored the first goal of the match.

Superior skills and strategy delivered a solid win for The British Army on the first day of play at the King’s Cup Elephant Polo tournament in Thailand.
Elephant Polo veteran team SOCO were pipped at the post in the final few seconds by The British Army in the first game of the season at the 10th Annual Kings Cup Elephant Polo Tournament in the royal seaside town of Hua Hin in Thailand.

King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament
Audemars Piguet and Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas kicked off the 2011 King’s Cup Elephant Polo tournament on September 5th in Hua Hin Thailand, the royal seaside town some 200km south of Bangkok. The event offered a day with seasoned elephant polo players, colourful parades, Thailand’s last elephant spirit men (Khru Ba Yai) and pachyderms - all providing a taste of the excitement to come all week.
